Meet our Keele University Interns: Driving Innovation and Advocacy for Ciliopathy Awareness

We’re thrilled to welcome three passionate and talented interns from Keele University to the Ciliopathy Alliance team. Each brings a unique perspective and skill set to help us advance our mission of supporting individuals and families affected by ciliopathies.

	Hannah – Research & Communication Champion A third-year Bioengineering student, Hannah is contributing to our research project by developing patient-friendly materials and improving communication pathways between researchers and the community. With a strong commitment to clarity in science and a vibrant presence in campus societies, Hannah is helping us make research more accessible and inclusive.
	Anastasiia – Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement Lead Studying Forensic Science and Criminology, Anastasiia is diving into our advocacy efforts by mapping current partnerships and identifying opportunities to expand our network. Her drive to help others and belief in the power of collaboration make her a perfect fit for this role. She’s especially excited to connect with researchers worldwide to amplify awareness and impact.
	Afnan – Communications Strategist A neuroscience student with a deep interest in rare genetic conditions, Afnan is shaping our communications plan to better share research, raise awareness, and foster community engagement. Her scientific insight and creative approach are helping bridge the gap between researchers, patients, and the public.

Together, these interns are helping future-proof the Ciliopathy Alliance by combining science, advocacy, and communication. We’re proud to have them on board and can’t wait to see the difference they’ll make!
