UNICIL

UNICIL (UNIty and diversity of MultiCILiary function) is a pioneering project working with six research groups across Europe, working together to understand how motile cilia function. Funded by Wellcome and led by Professor Kirsty Wan (University of Exeter's Living Systems Institute), with Pleasantine Mill (University of Edinburgh), Gáspár Jékely (University of Heidelberg, Germany), Eric Keaveny (Imperial College London, UK), Juliette Azimzadeh (Institut Jacques Monod, Paris, France) and Laurent Kodjabachian (IBDM, Marseille, France).

Together, the researchers are harnessing the latest advancements in science, combining genetics, cell biology, model organisms and much more to transform the understanding of motile cilia function.
